RCL Construction has undertakena variety of building woks in

Former St. Johns School, Chester.

RCL Construction has undertaken extensive building works on the the former Chester Visitor Centre and Café, at the junction of Little St John Street and Vicars Lane.

The Victorian building, which once housed St John’s School has been transformed into a modern office environment and will create 4,864 sq ft of offices with 12 parking spaces.

RCL Construction undertook the internal strip out and demolition works which included asbestos removal throughout the building.

Eccleston Paddocks

RCL Construction has undertaken extensive works in a period property on behalf of Grosvenor Estates.

Eccleston Paddocks (or The Paddocks) is a large house in the village of Eccleston, Cheshire. It is recorded as a designated Grade II* listed building. The house has 2½ storeys and a basement. The basement and ground floor are in red sandstone with horizontal bands of lighter stone. The upper part of the house is in red brick with some blue-brick diapering and stone bands; the dressings are in carved stone. The roof is of red tiles, it is steep and hipped and rising from its apex is a massive brick chimney.

This substantial contract was started in July 2014 and was completed in November 2014. The building works comprised of a complete internal refurbishment including:

  • asbestos removal

  • complete re wiring

  • complete new plumbing and heating system

  • new extension at rear of house

  • roof works

  • re plastering internal alterations

  • new kitchen and bathrooms

  • full redecoration
