RCL Construction has recently undertaken work for Allied Infrastructure, a multi-disciplined specialist services contractor working primarily in the Airports, Highways, Defence, Construction sectors.

RCL Construction completed the new CNC building next to the air traffic control building at Airbus, Broughton, Chester. The contract commenced in November 2014 and was completed in February 2015.

The Broughton site is where such aviation classics as De Havilland’s Comet and Mosquito were produced during its history – it is responsible for assembling the wings for all Airbus civil aircraft, including the new A350 XWB. Producing over 1,000 wings a year, the site employs more than 6,000 people – primarily in manufacturing, but also in engineering and support functions such as procurement and finance.
